Cookies Policy

Without a cookie, a website forgets you every time you click. SARV AI uses a few cookies so that you stay signed in as you move around. It also keeps a few small preferences in your browser's own storage, which works in a similar way.

We do not use cookies for advertising, and we do not let other companies place tracking cookies through SARV AI. Because every cookie we set is strictly necessary for the service you asked for, there is no cookie banner asking you to choose.

  What it does

  Keeps you signed in. It holds a random key, not your password.

  How long it lasts

  14 days, or until you log out

• sarv_active

  What it does

  Notes that you were using the app recently. If you set a PIN, the screen locks when this runs out.

  30 minutes, renewed while you work

• sarv_code

  What it does

  Holds the proof for the 6-digit code emailed to you during sign-up, so the code can be checked. It does not contain the code.

  What it does

  Remembers that your email was confirmed while you choose a name and password.

• sarv_guest

  What it does

  If you try the chat without signing in, this tells your browser from other visitors so your few free questions a day are counted fairly. It holds a random id and nothing about you.

• sarv_oauth

  What it does

  Protects sign-in with Google, Facebook or Apple from being hijacked on the way back to us.

These cookies are readable only by our servers, not by scripts on the page, and are sent only over a secure connection on the live site.

• Whether you closed the note that suggests setting a PIN.
• The time you last used the app, shared between your open tabs so the screen lock works across them.
• Layout choices, such as a collapsed sidebar.

If you sign in with Google, Facebook or Apple, you briefly visit that company's page and it may set its own cookies there, under its own policy. The same is true of the payment company's page when paid plans are available. SARV AI does not control those cookies and cannot read them.

We currently measure how the service is used from our own server records, without cookies. If we ever add an analytics tool that uses cookies, we will update this page and ask for your permission before it is switched on for you.

• Logging out removes the cookie that keeps you signed in.
• Your browser's settings, usually under Privacy or Security, let you delete cookies for this site or block them altogether.
• If you block all cookies, SARV AI cannot keep you signed in, so the workspace will not work. The public pages will.

We will update the date at the top whenever a cookie is added, removed or changed.
